about Marcus
pianist, producer, and composer crafting music at the crossroads of jazz, hip-hop, and reggae.

Marcus Diawara is a Vienna-based pianist, composer, and producer who blends jazz, LoFi, hip-hop, and African influences into a distinctive musical voice.
Born in 1995 to an Austrian mother and a Malian father, he began playing piano at the age of five. His formal training led him from Yamaha Music School to the Prayner Conservatory and culminated in a concert diploma in Jazz and Popular Music with distinction from JAM Music Lab University.
His main project, the Jazztice Trio, explores modern jazz fused with hip-hop beats, odd meters, classical elements, and African rhythmic traditions, creating an expressive and innovative sound.
Together with his father, he also performs with the reggae formation Marcus Moh & One World Band, known for its genre-crossing sound and socially conscious lyrics.
Since 2023, Diawara has been part of the LoFi hip-hop duo Jikuru, a collaboration with Austrian DJ and producer DJ Buzz (Waxolutionists). Released via Universal Music, their work combines atmospheric LoFi textures with jazzy harmonies and beat-driven arrangements.
As a solo artist under the name DIAWR, he crafts instrumental pieces that merge lush piano melodies, subtle electronic textures, and introspective moods.
